Accessibility statement

Last updated: 22 October 2026

We want everybody to be able to use our services, including people with disabilities. This statement describes how accessible our websites and our application are.

What this statement covers

This statement covers the websites civcnct.com, civcnct.ch, buergerpilot.de, buergerpilot.at, buergerpilot.ch and buergerpilot.eu. It also covers the CIVCNCT application. Bürgerpilot, our service in German, uses the same application. The application is public as a beta since 22 October 2026.

Compliance status

Our websites and the application are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. The reasons are in the next section.

What is not accessible yet

When we checked our websites, we found no errors. The application still has these limitations:

  • People who use a screen reader have not tested the application yet. So far, we have checked it only with testing tools and test scripts.
  • We have not checked the application by hand in the contrast mode of Windows yet.
  • The application often shows texts from public offices and laws in German only. If the interface is set to another language, a screen reader can read these texts with a wrong pronunciation.
  • On request, the application answers in plain language. An AI writes these answers. They are not Easy Read texts that readers with learning difficulties have checked.
  • There are no explanations in sign language yet.
  • PDF files that the application makes, for example a letter, have no structure information for screen readers yet. You can also save the letter as a text file.
  • Official PDF forms come from public offices. Many of them are not accessible. We cannot change these files.
  • Some interface languages are machine-translated. Native speakers have not checked these texts yet.

Links also lead to websites of public offices and other providers. These providers are responsible for the accessibility of their websites.

How we checked

This statement is based on a self-assessment of 22 October 2026. We checked all pages of our websites and the main steps of the application with the testing tool axe-core: in the light and the dark colour scheme, at the width of a large screen and of a smartphone. With test scripts, we also checked keyboard operation, the layout at a width of 320 pixels and at 200 percent zoom, larger spacing between lines and letters, and the announcements for screen readers.

No independent body has checked the websites and the application yet.

Report a barrier

Did you find a barrier? Or do you need information in another form? Then send an email to hello@civcnct.com. Please name the page and describe the problem.

Our address and our phone number are in the imprint.

Legal framework and enforcement

These websites and the application are services of Innovius UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a private company. The German regulation on accessible information technology (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BITV 2.0) and the enforcement procedures of the German federal states apply to public bodies. So they do not apply to our services. Please contact us directly.

Since 28 June 2025, the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) applies to certain services for consumers. We still check whether it applies to our application.
